Do I need to have a regularly scheduled paper shredding service, or can I order a one-time service?
You may choose the type of paper shredding service that best suits your needs. We offer one-time mobile shredding services, as well as regularly scheduled pickups on a frequency that is right for you.
My business/residence is located outside of Red Deer, Edmonton, or Calgary. Can you still shred my items?
Yes! Our mobile shredding service is able to come to you wherever you are located in Alberta.
How do I effectively dispose of my hard drive or smartphone?
There are several ways of getting rid of data on your old hard drives, storage disks, or smart devices. The most effective, however, is to use our Destruction of Electronics service to ensure your items are completely destroyed prior to disposal.
Do I need to remove paper clips and staples from documents before they are shredded?
Not at all. Our shredders are equipped to handle normal use of paper clips and staples so there is no need to remove them before depositing your documents into the bin.
Can I trust Merlin Shredding employees with my sensitive documents before they’re shredded?
We adhere to rigorous background checks on our employees to ensure they are right for the job. We are NAID (National Association for Information Destruction) certified, which means we uphold standards and best practices to ensure safety and security of your information destruction.
What happens if our bin is full before our regularly scheduled pickup?
If your bin is full before your regular date, we are more than happy to add an extra pickup as needed. Simply book online using our Appointment form, or give us a call. If your bins fill up quickly on a regular basis, you have the option to add another bin or change the frequency of your pickups.
